Wolff hopes for transparent investigation into Horner’s matter

Toto Wolff wants a transparent and rigorous investigation process in the Christian Horner case, which is important for F1.

The affair between Red Bull and Horner continues behind the scenes. The British national appeared before an independent lawyer in London after being accused of coercive behavior by a female employee, but the details and subsequent outcome are not yet known.

Meanwhile, Horner not only attended the opening event, but is also in Bahrain for pre-season F1 testing. During the meeting, Mercedes boss Wolff said he hoped for a transparent investigation as high-level officials were involved in the matter.

While sports are about racing, Wolff believes that such matters are just as important to individuals. “I think it’s clear in F1 and the team’s work that we support inclusivity, equality, fairness and diversity,” he said at a pre-season press conference in Bahrain. “And it’s important not just to talk about it, but to live it every day.

“And I think that’s the standard we’ve set for ourselves. We’re a global sport, we’re one of the most important sports platforms in the world, and we’re role models. But there’s been a lot of speculation in recent weeks, including the one we’ve heard, and a lot is coming.

“I think what is important at this stage is a rigorous process. What Red Bull started as an independent investigation, if it was done in the right way, transparently and rigorously, 1 and how can we learn from it?

“Because we want to talk about racing cars. And what we want to talk about is the sport, not about very, very important issues that go beyond just team issues. This is Formula 1 as a whole. It’s a phenomenon, or a problem, for , and generally for everyone who trains there,” Wolff summed up.
