Carlos Sainz, in collaboration with OTK Kart Group, launched the CS55 Racing Kart Program to support young kart drivers.
The Spanish race driver starts a partnership with the Prevalle-based company. The Italian company and the current Formula 1 driver, linked to the company located in Prevalle during the first years of his career, start a partnership which gives life to a new brand.
A new brand hits the stage of the karting world. OTK Kart Group, one of the most prestigious and successful companies in the sport, and Carlos Sainz, current Formula 1 driver, launch the brand new CS55 Racing Kart.
Carlos is so deeply fond of karting that he still practices it today, both as training for his Formula 1 season and also as a hobby. He wanted to celebrate this passion by signing a complete kart product line of his own. To do it, he decided to entrust to OTK Kart Group, the world leader in the field of racing karts, engaged for 40 years in the design, creation and trade of chassis, engines and accessories, following the philosophy of ‘100% made in OTK’.
The relationship of mutual trust with the Italian manufacturer goes back to the start of his career, Carlos Sainz was competing in the most prestigious international kart races. The Spaniard represented the brands of OTK Kart Group, also racing for the official team, Tony Kart Racing Team. Among the most prestigious results achieved together, the victories at the CIK-FIA Asia-Pacific Championship of 2008 and the Monaco Kart Cup of 2009 in the KF3 category stand out, as well as the title of vice-champion, always in 2009.
The concrete result of the newborn collaboration between Carlos Sainz and OTK Kart Group is represented by the first kart model of the product range with the new brand CS55 Racing. Created by a bare frame of steel tubes of 30mm diameter, it is available in both single-gear version Junior/Senior and shifter version and acquires all the winning features of OTK brands.
The official colours will be black, red and yellow, chromatic elements that distinguish Carlos Sainz’s image and helmet. All CS55 Racing Kart products will be soon available at the official sales network all over the world.
Carlos Sainz: “CS55 Racing is a thrilling project for me. OTK Kart Group is the international reference in the karting world and I could not be prouder to be working with them. I feel that we are coming full circle, both for our shared past together and also for what it means to know that the drivers of tomorrow will be chasing their dreams in this kart. We have worked for a long time to make this possible and I am really looking forward to seeing it race and win on the racetrack.”
