Nine-time NPFL Champion Enimba congratulates Super Eagles on being named captain and goaltender

Recent NPFL champion Enimba F.C. first-choice goalkeeper Orolunreke Ojo has congratulated the Super Eagles on his return, reports Soccernet.ng.

Two-time CAF Champions League winners and Nigeria’s sole representative in the inaugural African Football League, Enimba FC, have invited goalkeeper and captain Orolunreke Ojo to the Super Eagles’ camp for the AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome. I congratulated him.

The match will take place on Sunday at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom. The club congratulated the leader on its official X page (formerly Twitter) after his Eagles coach Jose Luis Peseiro announced the team list.

The 28-year-old was part of the Super Eagles’ squad against Sierra Leone in June, where Nigeria won 3-2.

The next AFCON tournament will be held in Ivory Coast in January-February next year, and the Super Eagles need a win against Sao Tome and Principe to maintain their current group lead. The leader has 12 points from 5 games.

Ojo has extensive NPFL experience playing for the Sunshine Stars, Abba Warriors and Akwa United. His three-time AFCON-winning roster was joined by newcomers such as Gift his Oban and Victor his Boniface.
