Novak Djokovic reveals ‘huge desire’ for 2024 season
Novak Djokovic has reiterated his goal of winning the elusive gold medal at next year’s Paris Olympics, with the Serbian player coming to Malaga to represent Serbia in the Davis Cup.
Djokovic has competed in four Olympics, his only medal coming 15 years ago in Beijing, where he won a bronze medal in singles.
After winning the ATP Finals for a record seventh time last week, Djokovic said of his goals for 2024: “Aside from the Grand Slams, it’s definitely one of my biggest goals for next year.” Ta. A schedule that progresses from the slowest road surface in the sport to the fastest road surface and then back to the slowest road surface again. Sand, grass, sand, and hard courts. ”
He continued. “This year is obviously a very demanding and challenging time and we need to talk to our team about how we can plan our preparation and training so that we can play our best tennis wherever we want.”

The world No. 1 player told reporters at the Davis Cup final in Malaga: “Of course, the Olympics are my big dream. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I won a bronze medal in Beijing in 2008.”
“A lot of things are different at the Olympics. We can’t get the whole team together, and some of the routines we normally do are limited. There are a lot of athletes from other sports, so it gives you energy, but also physical strength. Everything you mentioned, I want it, why not, let’s see how it ends up.”

Before thinking about next year’s Olympics, Djokovic will represent Serbia in the quarter-finals against Great Britain this afternoon.
In the baseline…
In addition to the Olympic gold medal, Djokovic has won just about everything there is to win in tennis. Every time Djokovic steps on court, you know how much the match means to him, and that may be why things haven’t worked out for him yet. Since the Paris Olympics will be held on the grounds of Roland Garros, Djokovic will definitely have an advantage over some of his rivals, but it is unclear how the “King of the Sand” Rafael Nadal is doing at the moment< //p>
