Netflix announce blockbuster Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz Las Vegas exhibition
Streaming giant Netflix has announced its first foray into live tennis with the launch of the first Netflix Slam starring Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.
A special friendly match between the two Spaniards will be streamed from Las Vegas on March 3rd and will be available for commentary in both English and Spanish.
The event will be held at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino’s 12,000-seat Michelob Ultra Arena and will feature other games and players yet to be announced.
Netflix’s Gabe Spitzer said, “With The Netflix Slam, we’re excited to give viewers around the world the opportunity to watch two of tennis’ greatest players compete in a unique live event.” /p>
“With a legend like Rafa and a champion like Carlos co-starring on the pitch, along with plenty of other action, it’s sure to be a live show fans won’t want to miss.”

Rafael Nadal ‘very excited’ about Carlos Alcaraz event
Despite proving himself to be a champion, Carlos Alcaraz has had to live with the nickname “the next Rafael Nadal” ever since he captured the attention of the tennis world.
He has won both the US Open and Wimbledon and is already world number one, but he has done it with a very distinctive game that is completely different from Nadal.
“I’m really looking forward to my first visit to Las Vegas, one of the most iconic and fun cities in the world,” said Nadal.
“I’m also really looking forward to playing alongside my compatriot Carlos Alcaraz. I’m sure it’ll be a great night of tennis.”
Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz said in a statement: “I’m honored and excited to be sharing this space with Rafa in Las Vegas.
“He is obviously a great player and his record and success speak for themselves. Rafa is also one of the best players on tour and we are looking forward to the match on March 3rd. ”
