Yashasvi Jaiswal – 6/10

60 runs at 30, SR: 136.36, 150

The left-handed opener went for a duck in the second T20I but followed it up with a quick fifty in the third. Suryakumar He found it difficult for Yadav to move forward while Jaiswal took the lead and continued his runs.

Tilak Varma – 4/10

29 runs at 14.50, SR: 138.09, 0 50 minutes

Tilak put up an attacking performance in the second match even though India lost two quick wickets. But he couldn’t make any big hits. In the third game, he dropped the first ball and tried to chase the spinner in the powerplay.

Suryakumar Yadav – 9/10

156 runs in 78, SR: 169.56, 150, 100

Yadav had a dream series with the bat, scoring a fifty in the second match and his fourth T20I hundred in the third match. In the third game, he hit eight sixes, the second-highest in a T20I innings. Unfortunately, Yadav twisted his ankle while fielding in the third game, but otherwise it was a perfect series for him.

Rinku Singh – 9/10

82 runs in 82, SR: 167.34, 150

Link scored his first T20I half in the second match and helped India to a 55-3 to 180-7 win in the second match. After making it to the national team thanks to his finishing skills, Rinku showed in this series that he can be more than just a finisher.

Jitesh Sharma – 2/10

5 runs at 2.50, SR: 71.42, 0 fifty

Jitesh came up to bat at number six but could not make much of an impact as he failed to score double figures in both matches.

Ravindra Jadeja – 5/10

23 runs 11.50, SR: 143.75, 0 fifty
2 wickets 26.50, ER: 9.08

Jadeja served as India’s vice-captain in this series. He made a quick cameo in Game 2 with a bat, and his left-arm spin was accurate. His save percentage of 9.08 doesn’t do justice to his solidity, aside from his six errors.

Kuldeep Yadav – 9/10

6 wickets at 7.16, ER: 7.37

Kuldeep became the highest wicket-taker in the series and single-handedly destroyed the South African batting line-up, finishing the series with 5 runs off 3 overs. With Kuldeep starting in place of Ravi Bishnoi in the final series against Australia, the team management is wondering who will be the top spinner for next year’s T20 World Cup.

Arshdeep Singh – 4/10

1 wicket @ 44, ER: 11

The left-hander fared badly in the second game, conceding 31 runs in two overs. He made a brilliant comeback in the third over, bowling two overs for just 13 and taking the wicket of Heinrich Claassen. Still, India will be concerned about the informality of the new move.

Mohammed Siraj – 8/10

1 wicket @ 40, ER: 6.66

Siraj returned to the T20I team after over a year and is on the right track with the new ball. He was particularly unable to play in the third game as he bowled the first game right after starting. In the second game, he was the most economical sailor on both teams.

Mukesh Kumar – 6/10

3 wickets @ 18.33, ER: 11

Mukesh played different roles in the two matches, opening the bowling in the second match and opening the bowling in the third match. Although he was more expensive than India had hoped, he also took the usual important wickets.
