Hardik Pandya Breaks 121-Run Afghanistan Stand With Cunning Off-Cutter, Lets Out Aggressive Roar

Watch: Hardik Pandya dismissed Azmatullah Omarzai with a slow off-cutter and let out a huge roar following the dismissal during the India-Afghanistan clash in the 2023 World Cup on Wednesday (October 11).

Pandya was hit for the third time in a row by Afghan batsmen while captain Hashmatullah Shahidi hit a four and a six from the last two balls of the previous over. The Indian all-rounder started the next over with four more of his hits off Omarzai, but got his second wicket of the game soon after and had the last laugh.

Omarzai got the ball after hitting Pandya for four and tried to play another big shot, but it fell to the off-cutter and played to the wrong line where he expected it to be hit. The ball stayed straight and hit the outside edge of the batsman, continuing to beat the off-stump and Pandya let out a roar of jubilation as he broke through the 121-run stand.
