This past weekend brought fans another exciting night at UFC Vegas 79. It was another successful UFC Fight Night with exciting matches and big surprises. So, after last weekend’s events, let’s take a look at the UFC schedule to see what fans can expect this weekend.

Polish fighter Mateusz Gamlot pulled off an impressive upset over title favorite Rafael Fiziev after Fiziev was injured. Additionally, Bryce Mitchell and Dan Ige provided fireworks for fans in the co-main event. It was a UFC Fight Night card and fans had a lot of fun watching the fights. So what can you expect?

UFC Schedule: Are there any UFC events this weekend?

The fight between Rafael Fiziev and Mateusz Gamlot at UFC Vegas 79 was the 17th consecutive event for the MMA promotion’s leading lights. Events have been held consecutively since June 4th. Therefore, the UFC has decided to take a much-needed break this weekend, as fans will have to wait a little longer until next weekend.

As a result, there will be no UFC fights on Saturday, September 30th. But the line-up from this weekend onwards means fans have even more to look forward to. Action returns next weekend with the main event lightweight bout between Grant Dawson and Bobby Greene. The card also features other exciting names, including Joaquin Buckley, Drew Dauber, and Ion Kutelaba.

After UFC Vegas 80, there will be plenty of other blockbuster events. UFC recently announced two additional PPV cards for the end of the year: UFC 295 and UFC 296. We already know that UFC 294 will be his October main event with Islam Makhachev vs. Charles Oliveira.

However, UFC 295 will feature a heavyweight bout between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. A light heavyweight title fight between Jiri Prochaska and Alex Pereira is also scheduled. This is going to be one of his biggest PPVs of the year.

Fans will finally be able to see the welterweight bout between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington in the headliner of UFC 296 in December. Fans can look forward to even more exciting Fight Night events around these PPV events.
