What Will Happen If India-Pakistan Game Is Washed Out Due To Rain In Ahmedabad

The much-awaited 2023 World Cup match between India and Pakistan is scheduled to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday. People are worried that the rain will affect the match, the mother of all high-profile matches, which is awaited by millions of fans around the world.

The Ahmedabad Meteorological Center has predicted cloudy skies with little chance of light rain during match time on Saturday. Although no rain was expected in the early morning hours for the World Cup match between India and Pakistan, the IMD report predicted light rain at scattered places in Ahmedabad district over the next five days.

“The weather in Gujarat is expected to remain dry for the next five days, although light rain is likely at isolated places in Ahmedabad district on October 14. It will remain cloudy and “light rain is likely in Ahmedabad and other northern districts like Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Alvari in the next day,” said Manorama Mohanty, director of the Ahmedabad Meteorological Center.

What Would Happen If The Match Is Washed Out?

If the match in Ahmedabad is abandoned, both teams will get one point each. India are favorites and have never lost to a World Cup opponent. So as Pakistan aim for their first win against India, the men in blue may not be satisfied with just a point. It is important to remember that only the top four teams in the table can advance to the semi-final round.

It doesn’t look like it will rain now, but the good news is that the outlook is brighter. The intense heat and high humidity make it difficult to play cricket, but rain is unlikely to stop play.

India and Pakistan’s World Cup campaign has gotten off to a strong start. In the first match in Chennai, the host team defeated Australia by 6 wickets and in the second match in Delhi, they easily defeated Afghanistan by 8 wickets. Meanwhile, the men in green, despite difficult conditions, were able to record their second victory in the competition.

The Men in Blue will take on Pakistan in the much-awaited 2023 World Cup match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14.

India currently plays Pakistan only in ICC tournaments such as the World Cup and the Asia Cup. Meanwhile, players from both countries will give their best for their respective teams in the upcoming high-profile matches.
