Watch: In a 2024 PSL clash at Lahore, Zaman Khan dismissed a rampant Saud Shakeel with a trademark pinpoint yorker.

Lahore Qalandars scored 187-7 after Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and was elected to bat. Opening wicketkeeper Sahibzada Farhan hit 61 off 43 balls while Jahandad Khan scored an unbeaten 45 off 17 balls. For Quetta Gladiators, Akeel Hossain returned with his 2 wins and 17 draws in his 4 overs.

Saud Shakeel (opening stand 40 off 23 balls off 69 balls) led the tourists’ response. His innings ended with Zaman Khan, who is known for hitting yorkers, showing his best performance.

Zaman bowled the ball over the wicket and flicked the ball to the left-handed Shakeel. The yorker was so accurate that it landed underthe bat and hit the stumps.

Quetta batting line-up continued to attack despite losing wickets at regular intervals. Playing his second match in his maiden PSL season, 22-year-old Khawaja Nafai (60 not out off 31 balls) sealed the match for Quetta with five balls remaining. This was his fifth Twenty20 match for him. In his previous four appearances, he had tallied his five goals, six goals, two goals, and six goals.

It remained Zaman’s only wicket of the game. He finished with 1-27 from 3.1 overs.
