Watch: Pat Cummins produced a seaming beauty to dismiss Babar Azam during the Melbourne Boxing Day Test between Australia and Pakistan today (December 27).
Cummins smashed through Pakistan’s top order, grabbing three of the first six wickets that fell on the second day when the visitors suffered a middle-order collapse. Abdullah Shafiq and Shan Masood’s fifties gave them a platform, but 46 runs allowed Australia to take the lead, although they lost five wickets.
One of the highlights of the day was Cummins’ speech on the removal of Babar Azam.
On the third delivery of the 37th over, Cummins hit the ball to Babar, but the ball went narrowly across the pitch. The ball rebounded to the right-handed pitcher, but the right-handed pitcher was unable to cover the movement and the ball escaped from his bat and pad and hit the stumps with a clatter.

Cummins also dismissed Babar in the first Test in Perth, creating an outside advantage against another beauty in the second innings.
At stumps on the second day, Pakistan posted a record of 194-6 as Mohammad Rizwan came into bat on 29 and Aamer Jamal protected him with two hits off 26 balls. Cummins finished the day with his 3 wins and 37 losses.
