Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit eight fours and four sixes as he raced to a 57-ball 80 after England opted to bowl. Afghanistan fell from 114-3 to 190-6, but Ikram Alikil pushed them to 284 wins. For England, Adil Rashid won with 3 wins and 42 losses, while Mark Wood won with 2 wins and 50 losses.

In the 8th over, Mujeeb-ur-Rahman pitched the ball up and held on for the next two balls. The fourth ball was too short and Root bowled the ball towards the fine fence.
Mujeeb bowled the next ball. Root played it, but along the wrong line, the ball hit his bat and crashed into the stumps. Root scored his 11 goals, leading England to a 33-2 victory.
Shortly after, Mohammad Nabi scored 32 points for Malan. At the time of writing, England were 82-3 after 16 overs. Needs another 203 of 204 balls.
