BCCI social media accounts posted a heartwarming video of Pujara joining the ODI squad ahead of the match. In the video, he was warmly welcomed by Rohit Sharma, shared a laugh with head coach Rahul Dravid and was later hugged by Ravichandran Ashwin.

He also chatted with Virat Kohli at the boundary rope and flashed a smile while the Indian players warmed up before the toss. Pujara wore a black top instead of the Indian uniform as he has not been part of India’s ODI plans since 2014.

With Australia at 352-7 in 50 overs, India were asked to bat first. Mitchell Marsh, Steve Smith, David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne are all over 50.
