The third night of the only Test between India Women and Australia Women got heated between the captains of both the teams at the Wankhede Stadium today (December 23).
In Australia’s second 80th over, Healy tried to block Kaul’s delivery after the ball bounced back to her. This caused the ball to change direction and move towards the deep third boundary for the fourth time.
A few words were exchanged, and Kaul asked to be sent off for obstruction of the field, but the referee overruled his request. But the drama shouldn’t end there.

On the next ball, Healy, who hit 32 of 100 balls, hit his pads as he tried to avoid a full shot hitting the stumps. It didn’t take long for the referee to raise his finger. Healy gave a quick review, but the ball chase saw him get three reds, forcing him to be sent off to celebrate the Indian captain.
It was the second wicket of the innings after Harmanpreet dismissed Talia McGrath in the first over of the day. Australia ended the day with a lead of 46 points on his 233-5 and it will be a thrilling final day if the losing Australian side can extend their lead further.
Earlier in the match, India scored 406 runs against Australia’s 219, thanks to half-centuries from four batsmen – Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Jemima Rodriguez and Deepti Sharma. was obtained.
