Watch: Gerald Coetzee Bellows All-time Great Celebrappeal After Trapping Harry Brook Plumb In Front

Watch: South Africa pacer Gerald Coetzee bellowed an all-time greatest celebrappeal after dismissing Harry Brook in the World Cup 2023 match against England on October 21.

England were unable to get off to a good start in their quest to reach 400 points and became uncomfortable staying at the crease as South Africa launched a ferocious pace attack against the defending champions. The pace quartet of Lungi Ngidi, Marco Janssen, Kagiso Rabada and Gerard Coetzee was on fire and charged through the batting order.

Coetzee bowled the second over of the game at the end of the 11th over with England leading 67-4. He slipped past Jos Buttler to reach wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock. Coetzee was delighted to sack the England captain, who was under pressure for 16 runs in the previous over.

The pacer had his next strike just one innings after being sent off. He wrapped Harry Brook around his pads with a dragging delivery that stayed low. Referee Kumar Dharmasena raised his finger to eliminate Brook. However, Coetzee was so confident of the result that he celebrated without waiting for the referee’s decision. Mr Brooks’ consideration was rendered futile as the decision stood.

England were bowled out for 170 in 22 overs, suffering their third defeat in this year’s World Cup. Their campaign is in turmoil as they aresecond to last in the points table
