Watch: Ben Stokes Drops His Bat In Amazement After Losing Off Stump To Jasprit Bumrah | IND vs ENG

Watch: Ben Stokes had no answers. The England captain dropped his bat in despair (and amazement) after being undone by a Jasprit Bumrah special on day two of the India-England Visakhapatnam Test.

Another sensational performance from Bumrah was the focal point of India’s attack on the second day. The seamers disrupted England’s midfield order, bringing in Ollie Pope, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Foakes and Stokes.

Before Stokes, it was the controversial sacking of Pope. Pope, England’s hero in the first Test, had no answer to the yorker that bruised Bumrah’s toe and ended up straddling the stumps.

Stokes’ sending off was equally dramatic. After continuing to resist and approaching his 32nd Test fifty, Stokes was blindfolded by Bumrah’s special on his second ball of his 50th over. It lunged, stayed a little low, and rattled past his bat and off the stumps. Stokes stood stunned, dropping his bat and gesturing as if to say, “What should I do with this?”

Bumrah achieved his 10th win in Test cricket in five overs. Stokes’ wicket was Bumrah’s 150th wicket in Test cricket.

Last month, Bumrah sent Stokes back with another stalwart in the Hyderabad Test to anchor the middle stumps.
