Watch: ‘Albatross’ Cameron Green Takes Stunning One-Handed Catch Diving Full Length To His Left | AUS Vs WI

Watch: Cameron Green dived full-length to his left at mid-wicket to take a stunning catch inches off the ground in the second ODI between Australia and West Indies today (February 4).

West Indies won the toss in the second ODI against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground and were elected first. Several Australian batsmen came into action, with No. 8 Sean Abbott hitting 69 off 63 balls for a total of 258. Gudakesh Motier was the chosen bowler for the visiting team, who took 3-28 from his 10 overs.

West Indies, on the other hand, got off to a bad start. They lost their first three wickets for 34, with none of their top three scoring more than 11. Shai Hope and Kesey Carty maintained a steady pace for a while, but were unable to get the scoreboard close to the required pace.

West Indies’ chase was in vain as they continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. No. 6 batsman Roston Chase fell for the ninth wicket with a score of 167, but West Indies’ hopes of the match were all but dashed.

Chase flicked the ball from Abbott back-of-length towards midwicket and Green dove to his left to make a fine one-handed catch inches from the ground.

Commentators praised Green’s athleticism and range, using the nickname “Albatross.” “That’s power. To his left. That’s Cameron Green, the albatross,” Isa Guha said on the air.

The last wicket fell to 175 as West Indies lost the match by 83 runs. With a solid 2-0 lead in her third consecutive match, Australia will be looking for a win when they face each other in Canberra in the final ODI on February 6.
