Watch: Aiden Markram played an upper cut with both feet off the ground to send a Haris Rauf bouncer for a six in the South Africa-Pakistan World Cup 2023 clash on October 27.
Rauf bowled the third over and entered the match. One over short, he hit Rassie van der Dussen’s helmet with a nasty 150km/h bouncer. Inspired by this, the pacer pulled a similar trick on the second ball of the 13th over. However, the difference this time was that the red-hot Markram, who had hit the ball well up until then, struck out.
He threw the bodyguard off Markram’s body. The South African batsman pounced on him instantly and in a split second Markram was off the ground with his feet in the air. Markram hit Rauf while still in flight and got deep third man for the sixth over. What a great shot!
