Watch: Abrar Ahmed dismissed Rassie van der Dussen with a googly to break a fifty-plus stand in the Lahore Qalandars-Quetta Gladiators PSL clash today (February 19).
Pakistan leg-spinner Abrar, who has played six Tests for Pakistan, dismissed Van der Dussen in the second over with his skillful bowling. After the batter went out for a big shot, Abler shortened his length and sent a slow ball at 80 km/h. The ball swerved wide inside, slipped through a gap in the batting court for Van der Dussen, and then disturbed the stumps behind him, dismissing him for 16 balls and 15.
Van der Dussen, who retired at number three, put together a 53-run stand with opener Sahibzada Farhan acting as the enforcer of the partnership. He made 62 in 43 balls, including his three sixes.
Abler, on the other hand, could not end the innings on a good note, losing 40 in 4 overs and no further wickets. He was attacked by Jahandad Khan and in the 16th over he hit three maximums and this was his third time in the PSL that he conceded more than 40 runs in an innings. Ta.
Abrar had earlier won the first match of the season against Peshawar Zalmi in 2 minutes and 29 seconds.
