Members of the Lagos State Football Association have expressed support for suspended FA president Fuad Oki, Soccernet reported.
Oki recently appeared in a social media video attempting to harass LSFA vice-president Liameed Ghaffar after he denounced the repression. However, the Speaker did not take the matter lightly as Mr Ghaffar accused him of physical violence.
After his scream, “It’s over, it’s over, sir, I can’t take this anymore, Mr. Chairman, you slapped me and punched me in the throat. I’ll do anything for football. “We accept, and we accept this.” “It’s about football again… This is our destiny, this is our life… Repression is over, the board unanimously says that you has been suspended.”Mr. Oki walked up to punch him.
Mr Oki was suspended from the LSFA Board of Directors after five of the nine members voted for him.
Nevertheless, an anonymous board member who is a supporter of Mr. Oki denies that Mr. Oki slapped Ghafar.
“Nothing like that happened. There was no physical assault at the board meeting,” he told NigeriaFootball.ng via Premium Times.
“No one slapped anyone at the meeting. A motion was made but it was not seconded. As we spoke, all board members, along with the chairman, There is no need to worry, as no violence was recorded at the meeting.”
Despite Oki’s suspension, more drama is likely to unfold in the coming days.
