Super Eagles star named among Leicester duo nominated for Championship player of the month award

Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were in good form for the Foxes, leading them to the top of the table.

Super Eagles presenter Wilfred Ndidi has been nominated for September’s PFA Championship Fan Player of the Month award, reports Soccernet.ng.

The versatile midfielder was rejuvenated in his new role under the guidance of new manager Enzo Maresca, scoring in Leicester’s 4-1 win over Southampton and winning the Man of the Match award.

The 26-year-old played in all four of the Foxes’ games last month, helping the team win three of those four games. His in-form teammate Keenan Dewsbury-Hall was also nominated.

The English player has scored the most goals at the King Power Stadium this season and added a brace in the last game with Kelechi Iheanacho also scoring after setting up Ndidi.

September’s PFA Championship Supporters’ Player of the Month nominees include Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi and Dewsbury Hall. No player made more important passes in September than Dewsbury Hall.

In other matches, Argyle’s Morgan Whittaker contributed to his five league goals, including a hat-trick against Norwich City, while Nathan Broadhead scored a vital goal for leaders Ipswich Town.

Sunderland’s Jack Clarke was September’s top scorer with six goals and Preston’s Liam Lindsay was the rock of the defense as the team finished September in third place.

Maresca’s men’s team have won 9 of their 10 league matches and are currently in first place in the Sky Bet Championship.
