The second Test of the two-match red-ball series will be held from 3 to 7 January 2024 at the Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town.

Despite KL Rahul scoring a brilliant hundred, India could only score 245 in the first innings and were bowled out for 131 in 34.1 overs against South Africa’s first innings score of 408.
Dean Elgar, who is expected to retire after this match, is looking to emulate Guts, who hit 185 runs off 287 in the last Test to win the game. He will also lead South Africa in the absence of full-time captain Themba Bavuma.
