Sir Alastair Cook Reportedly Set To Retire At The End Of The 2023 Season

Sir Alastair Cook is reportedly set to retire from all forms of cricket at the end of the 2023 county season.

Cook, England’s top run-scorer with over 12,000 runs in Test cricket, reportedly plans to retire from all forms of cricket at the end of the current County Championship season.

One of the greatest Test openers of all time, Cook retired from international cricket five years ago in 2018 but has been a regular in county cricket for Essex since his international retirement.

So far this season, Cook has scored 808 runs from 23 innings (up to the first innings of Essex’s current match against Hampshire), averaging 36.72 and scoring 1350 points.

However, according to Daily Mail, Cook wants to lead Essex to another County Championship title and will retire at the end of this season. It is said that it will put an end to this. .
