Sarfaraz Khan on Thursday (January 25) struck a tumultuous century in the first innings of the second unofficial Test between India A and England Lions, giving the selectors a timely Gave me memories.
The right-handed batsman is one of the best players on the domestic circuit in recent years. However, his performance in India A did not live up to expectations. However, on his second day of the second unofficial Test against England and the Lions, he came into his own and scored his goal, a surprising century.
England Lions batted first and were bowled out for a low total of 152 in the first innings. Their innings is less than 53 overs. In response, India A got off to a good start with captain Abhimanyu Easwaran and Devdutt Padikkal sharing 162 runs for the opening wicket, surpassing the score recorded by England Lions.
Sarfaraz Khan scores whirlwind ton:
Matthew Potts defeated Easwaran to break the tie with 58 points. India A lost four wickets in a short span of time and was reeling from 162-0 to 184-4 when Easwaran’s dismissal opened a dam. However, before the visitors could advance further, Sarfaraz Khan and Washington Sundar steadied the ship by building a huge lead of his 169 runs.
Potts defeated the Thunder with 57 points and made a breakthrough. Sarfaraz Khan, on the other hand, completed a blistering century in just 89 balls. As of this writing, he has scored 129 runs with 13 fours and 5 sixes in his 115 balls.

The latest setback comes just hours after Sarfaraz Khan suffered yet another setback in his bid to represent India in a Test match. Many have backed him as a replacement forVirat Kohli in the Indian squad for the ongoing series against England. However, the selection rejected it and instead selected Rajat Patidar, who has yet to play an international match.
On the other hand, Tilak Verma and Rinku Singh could not swing the bat against England Lions. Both players recently played for India against South Africa and Afghanistan and were subsequently selected for the India A squad. While Varma scored his six points, Rinku continued to run away.
