Royal Challengers Bengaluru Playing 11 (RCB Playing XI) & Lucknow Super Giants Playing 11 (LSG Playing XI), IPL 2024, Match 15

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Playing 11 (RCB Playing XI) & Lucknow Super Giants Playing 11 (LSG Playing XI), IPL 2024, Match 15: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be taking on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 15th game of the ongoing IPL 2024. The RCB vs LSG game is scheduled to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Tuesday (April 2).

RCB have won one of their first three games while LSG have won and lost one. RCB began their campaign with a loss against Chennai Super Kings before beating Punjab Kings. In their last game, the Bengaluru-based outfit suffered a heavy loss against Kolkata Knight Riders.

On the other hand, LSG began their campaign with a 20-run loss against Rajasthan Royals before they beat PBKS to open their account in IPL 2024. Before the game gets underway, we are taking a look at the probable playing elevens of both the teams.

RCB Playing XI:

Openers: Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis (c)

The onus will be on captain Faf du Plessis and his predecessor Virat Kohli to give RCB a good start. They have failed to stitch together a big partnership so far. 41, 26 and 17 have been their stands so far and they will be looking to score big together against LSG. Kohli has been in good form after scoring half-centuries in the last two games as well.

Middle-order batters and allrounders: Cameron Green, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Anuj Rawat (wk), Dinesh Karthik

RCB’s middle-order disappointed once again. The likes of Cameron Green (33) and Glenn Maxwell (28) got the starts but could not capitalise while Rajat Patidar (3) and Anuj Rawat (3) had poor outings against KKR. Dinesh Karthik played a crucial cameo of 20 off 8 balls.

Bowlers: Lockie Ferguson, Mayank Dagar, Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal

After the hammering received against KKR, RCB could make at least one change to their playing eleven. Alzarri Joseph could make way for Lockie Ferguson while the likes of Mayank Dagar, Mohammed Siraj and Yash Dayal are set to retain their spots.

LSG Playing XI:

Openers: Quinton de Kock (wk), KL Rahul

In the last game against PBKS, Quinton de Kock laid LSG’s charge with the bat by scoring a fifty and will be eyeing another good performance with the bat. On the other hand, KL Rahul was out for just 15 and would be looking to do well against RCB.

Middle-order batters and allrounders: Devdutt Padikkal, Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran (c), Marcus Stoinis, Krunal Pandya

Devdutt Padikkal failed to do well with the bat and was out for just 9. With Deepak Hooda waiting on the bench, the left-handed batsman will have to score big. Ayush Badoni (8) and Marcus Stoinis (19) could not score big as well either while Nicholas Pooran played a crucial 21-ball 42 runs knock. Krunal Pandya scored 43 to help LSG finish strongly.

Bowlers: Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, Mayank Yadav, Yash Thakur

LSG’s bowlers did well to defend the total after PBKS openers shared a century-plus stand. Debutant Mayank Yadav turned the game around for his side with his 3-wicket spell while Mohsin Khan also picked up 2 wickets. Ravi Bishnoi went wicketless but is likely to retain his spot. With the game taking place in Bengaluru, Yash Thakur can replace spinner Manimaran Siddharth in the team.
