AlphaTauri has announced that Ricciardo will be returning to the F1 GP in America this weekend. The Australian attempted to take part in the Qatar Grand Prix after a simulator session, but he was advised not to take part. He waited a few weeks before returning to show work with Red Bull.

He drove the RB7 in Nashville and got a good feel even though he wasn’t running it at race speed. However, he is scheduled to leave this weekend. There’s not much time to get back into competitive mode considering it’s a one-session sprint weekend.

“I’m glad to be back,” Ricardo said. “My hands have improved a lot and the simulator has helped me assess that. I tried it out the week before the Qatar game and I don’t feel like I’m using it to its full potential. I didn’t, so I spent the rest of the week in England, spending more time in simulations, and getting to a point where I felt ready to go.

“I’ve been training as much as I can, so my overall fitness is fine. But obviously I haven’t been able to use my left hand or arm very much for a while.” Watching the last few games For me, it was definitely frustrating. Racing, specifically, I got to the point where I was ready to race again and then I had two races and I had to press pause again and I just wasn’t. “That wasn’t the case. The time without races passed very quickly,” Ricciardo summed up.

He is looking forward to driving the latest AlphaTauri car, which has some updates introduced in Singapore. He was there to learn more about them and even drove them in the simulator. He will now get his first taste of fulfilling his potential in competition.

“The current car has evolved a bit since I last drove it, but the simulations were helpful in understanding what the changes and updates have brought about,” said Ricciardo . “She felt her influence a little bit, but it’s one of those things where I don’t think she’ll feel the full impact until she’s on the right track.” The first time she tried it, I was in Singapore. did. And it was interesting to hear the mostly positive feedback and comments.

“So I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like in person. As far as this weekend goes, I’ve always liked Austin. It’s very unique for a modern race track, with all the undulations and bumps. Because of that, it’s physically taxing. It’s tiring, but I think I like it.I like challenges. A lot of the apexes are quite wide as well, so there are some peculiar corners which make the track exceptional and stand out,” summed up Ricciardo.
