Neymar JR: Leverkusen’s Boniface reacts as his role model faces long injury spell

Al Gila’s star player is likely to miss the rest of the season after sustaining an injury during Brazil’s match against Uruguay.

Nigerian soccer player Victor Boniface, who holds two caps for the Super Eagles, recently reacted to a long-term injury layoff by playing against Brazilian superstar Neymar Junior, reports Soccernet.ng Ta.

Due to his outstanding play in the German Bundesliga (eight goals in the first eight games), the Nigerian star is starting to emulate his idol.

During Brazil’s World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay, Neymar suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in a 2-0 loss. This injury could cause him to miss the remainder of the season.

As a symbol of solidarity, the Bayer Leverkusen striker shared a photo from Neymar’s Instagram page with the caption “Fé”, which means “faith” in Brazilian Portuguese.

Boniface used a prayer emoji in his repost to express support for Neymar during this difficult time on his Instagram Story.
