Napoli will lose €100million if Osimhen leaves- Italian journalist

Osimhen has refused to sign a contract extension with Napoli and is expected to leave this summer

Italian journalist Marco Bellinazzo has said that Napoli will lose 100 million euros if Osimhen leaves on a free transfer in 2025, reported Soccer Net.

Osimhen is undoubtedly Napoli’s best player over the past two seasons. The 24-year-old striker was key to Serie A’s success last season, scoring 26 goals in 32 appearances.

He also scored five goals and helped the Partenopeans reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time. After his success with the Parthenopeans, Osimhen has been linked with a move to some of Europe’s top clubs.

Top teams such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG were interested in signing him, but Napoli refused to sell him.

Instead, they began negotiations to tie him to a new contract, as his current contract expires at the end of next season.

However, there are rumors that Osimhen is unwilling to accept the release clause that Napoli wants to include in the contract, and the two sides have not yet agreed on terms.

Also, recent issues with a Tiktok video mocking Osimhen have caused tension between the club and the Nigerian star.

Given the current situation, it is unlikely that Osimhen will complete the deal anytime soon, and Italian journalist Bellinazzo believes that this could be a disastrous outcome for the Italian champion. .

“If Victor (Osimhen)’s contract expires, we will lose $100 million,” he told Napoli Magazine.

But a lot can change by summer. However, if Osimhen refuses to put pen to paper, Napoli will be forced to sell his valuable asset.
