Shami bowled an off-stump line that was just less than a meter long. Will Young (17) tried to play offside when the ball moved slightly inside, but instead hit the ball against the inside stumps.
With this wicket, Shami’s record in World Cup cricket stands at 32 wickets. He surpassed Anil Kumble’s record of 31. Only Javagal Srinath and Zaheer Khan are above Shami with 44 scalps each, while Bumrah is not far behind with 28.
