Mercedes F1 junior Andrea Kimi Antonelli will move to FIA F2 with FRECA’s Prema in 2024 after winning the title there.

Prema Racing has announced that Italian racing driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli will compete with the team in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship. Antonelli, who started his career as a monoposto with PREMA at the end of 2021, has enjoyed great success so far, winning five titles in less than two years before joining next season in the highly demanding F1 Junior It will be a step into the series.

An outstanding kart racer, Antonelli won a sensational double driver title in the Italian and German F4 championships in 2023, racking up a record number of wins in the process. At the beginning of 2023, he was crowned Formula Regional Middle East Championship with three wins and seven podiums. Antonelli was a contender from the start when he entered the Formula Regional European Championship, one of the most competitive junior series at international level.
