Indian star bowler Jasprit Bhamra announced the birth of his first child on Monday 4th September. The 29-year-old returned to India for personal reasons after Saturday’s match against Pakistan.
The sailor on the right shared the news on Twitter, posting a photo of his wife Sanjana Ganesan with their newborn baby. Jasprit also revealed the child’s name, as the couple named him Angad.

When Bumla uploaded a video of the couple playing a FIFA match before Sanjana left for Sri Lanka, some fans suspected that Sanjana was pregnant. Jasprit will miss the India-Nepal match but will return to Sri Lanka for the Super 4 match as Men In Blue advance.
The match between India and Pakistan was called off due to rain. A draw with Nepal is a must for Rohit Sharma’s side, but a repeat elimination could see India reach the Super 4.
