IPL 2024 auction: Rules and format

A total of 77 slots are scheduled to be filled in the 2024 auction, including 30 slots for foreigners.

The shortlisted cricketers will be divided into three categories: Indian International Players, Uncapped Indian Players and Overseas Players. They are again divided according to their roles: batsmen, bowlers, all-rounders and wicketkeepers.
