The Men’s ODI World Cup will be held in India for the first time in 12 years. Here is the list of all 10 captains forCricket World Cup 2023.
10 teams will compete for the 2023 World Cup trophy from October 5th to November 19th. The tournament opener, England vs. New Zealand, and the final will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. His two matches in the semi-finals will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Eden Gardens in Kolkata on November 15 and 16 respectively.
This is also the first time that India is solely hosting the World Cup, having previously co-hosted the World Cup in 1987, 1996 and 2011. Apart from Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Kolkata, matches will also be held at seven other venues – Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamshala, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Pune.

New Zealand, who reached the finals in both 2015 and 2019, are the only team to retain their captain from the previous tournament. Kane Williamson is back after a long injury break and will be looking to make up for losing two consecutive finals.
Rohit Sharma will become the fourth Indian to lead a World Cup in his home country after Kapil Dev, Mohammad Azharuddin and MS Dhoni.
Injury concerns plague the upcoming quadrennial event as many teams are forced to make last-minute substitutions. According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the deadline for deciding the final squad is September 28th.
