Gujarat Titans Playing 11 (GT Playing XI) & Punjab Kings Playing 11 (PBKS Playing XI), IPL 2024, Match 17: Gujarat Titans (GT) will be taking on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 17th game of the ongoing IPL 2024. The GT vs PBKS game is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday (April 4).

GT have started their campaign with two wins and a loss in the first three games. Under new captain Shubman Gill, they started IPL 2024 with a win over five-time champions Mumbai Indians. It was followed by a heavy 63-run defeat against champions Chennai Super Kings before they bounced back with a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad.

On the other hand, PBKS have lost two of their first three games. They began their season with a four-wicket win over Delhi Capitals before suffering defeats against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Lucknow Super Giants. As both the teams eye an important win, we are taking a look at their probable playing eleven.

GT Playing XI:

Openers: Wriddhiman Saha(w), Shubman Gill(c)

Wriddhiman Saha gave GT yet another fast start as he scored 25 runs off just 13 balls against SRH. The veteran has looked in good touch and will be looking to score big. Captain Shubman Gill also scored 36 runs and will be eyeing a big score.

Middle-order batters and allrounders: Azmatullah Omarzai, David Miller, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan

Azmatullah Omarzai did not get the chance to bat in the last game while David Miller finally returned to form with an unbeaten knock of 44 runs. Vijay Shankar remained unbeaten on 14 while Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan did not bat. With the ball, Rashid gave away 33 runs and picked up one wicket. Omarzai also picked up one wicket.

Bowlers: Umesh Yadav, Noor Ahmad, Mohit Sharma, Darshan Nalkande

Mohit Sharma was the pick of the bowlers in the last game, taking 3 for 25 while Umesh and Noor picked up one wicket each. Nalkande could not pick up any wicket and will be looking to make an impact in the upcoming game.

PBKS Playing XI:

Openers: Shikhar Dhawan(c), Jonny Bairstow

Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow had a fine outing with the bat in the last game against Lucknow Super Giants. They shared a big stand of 102 runs although it eventually went in vain. Dhawan scored 70 while Bairstow scored 42.

Middle-order batters and allrounders: Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Jitesh Sharma(w), Shashank Singh

Among PBKS’ middle-order batters, only Liam Livingstone managed to touch the 20-run mark as he remained unbeaten on 28. Jitesh Sharma was out for 6 while Sam Curran was dismissed for a golden duck. Shashank Singh remained unbeaten on 9. Curran had a good outing with the ball though as he picked up 3 wickets for 28.

Bowlers: Harpreet Brar, Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Rahul Chahar, Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh picked up two wickets in the last game while Rabada and Chahar claimed one each. Brar and Patel could not take any wicket and would be looking to bounce back against GT.
