Ferrari extends Leclerc’s contract beyond 2024 F1 season

Ferrari has extended Charles Leclerc’s contract beyond the 2024 F1 season, without specifying an end date.

After signing a contract with Ferrari until the 2024 F1 season, Leclerc has signed a new contract with the Italian manufacturer from 2024 onwards. The team hasn’t revealed the timeline of the new contract, but we can assume it will last at least 18 months a year.

This means Leclerc will remain at Ferrari for more than five years after joining the team in 2019. He has secured five wins and 23 pole positions so far and is waiting for that elusive title. “It’s great to know that for a few more seasons he’ll be wearing his Ferrari racing suit for the Scuderia,” he said.

“I have dreamed of driving for this team since I was three years old. I was watching the Monaco GP from the window of a friend’s apartment in Santé. I was chased. I was always obedient. I was looking for a red car with a corner. This team has been a second family to me since I joined the Ferrari Driver Academy in 2016, and over the past five years we have overcome hardships and shared many experiences together. We have achieved this.

“But we believe the best is still ahead of us. We can’t wait for this season to start to make further progress and be competitive in every race.” My dream is to win the world championship with Ferrari. I am sure that if we win, we will have a great time together and make our fans happy for the next few years. ”

Meanwhile, Mr. Vasseur added: “Charles’ commitment to the Scuderia goes beyond being a driver or a team; he has been part of the Ferrari family for eight years, even before his first involvement with Plaid Sport, and his cars include A racing suit with a Prancing Horse emblem on it. His values and our team’s values are closely tied, so it was only natural that we agreed to expand our collaboration.

“We know his constant desire to push his limits, and we also appreciate his exceptional ability when it comes to racing battles and overtaking.”I We are determined to give Charles a winning car, and we understand his determination. And dedication makes the difference in achieving your goals. ”
