Both teams go into this much-anticipated trans-Tasman rivalry with different results behind them. New Zealand suffered their first loss of the tournament in their previous match at the same venue, but Australia recorded the biggest victory in World Cup history by defeating the Netherlands by more than 300 points.
Australia will be looking forward to having Travis Head back in the squad. If he returns, Mitchell Marsh will have to move down the order and either Marnus Labuschagne or Cameron Green will have to make way.
