Dana White Clarifies Stipe Miocic’s Absence from Interim Title Fight at UFC 295
Jones had to withdraw from the event due to a torn pectoral tendon, Dana White confirmed on social media. Dr. White said Jones will need chest surgery and that full recovery will take at least eight months. As a result, Jones will not be able to participate in the UFC until mid-2024.

Sergei Pavlovic vs. Tom Aspinall has been added to the lineup for UFC 295, with both heavyweights competing for the interim world heavyweight title. After announcing this fight and excluding Jones and Miocic, White revealed his decision to exclude Miocic.
