Boniface reaches Haaland’s heights in Bayer Leverkusen’s drubbing of Heidenheim

Boniface has been in great form in recent weeks and continued that form against newcomer Heidenheim

Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface scored the brace in Bayer Leverkusen’s 4-1 win over newly promoted Heidenheim, Soccer reports.

Leverkusen have an impressive record in the Bundesliga this season with four wins and one draw, with Nigerian striker Boniface playing a key role in the line-up.

The Nigerian player has been a revelation since his move from Belgian side Royal Union SG, but Xabi Alonso remains a fixture when Bundesliga newcomers Heidenheim visit the Bay Arena. He was entrusted with the task of leading the attack.

Werkself quickly expanded their advantage in the game and pushed back the guests. Boniface had a chance to score in the 5th minute, but his shot was well blocked by a Heidenheim defender. But four minutes later, when he received the ball from Exequiel Palacios, he was unstoppable and quickly advanced. He then took a powerful shot that slid into the bottom right corner of the goal.
