BAN vs SL: Where will the matches be held?
The first T20I will be played on March 4, followed by the second and third matches on March 6 and 9, respectively. Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in the eastern city of Sylhet will be the preferred venue for the three matches.
Both teams have played 13 T20Is so far, with Sri Lanka winning nine times and Bangladesh winning four times. The last match in this format took place two years ago during the 2022 Asian Cup in Dubai. Kusal Mendis was Sri Lanka’s star player, scoring a 37-ball 67 to help them defeat Bangladesh by just two wickets in a match that lasted 20 overs.
BAN vs SL: Team news
After a 2-1 win over Afghanistan in the recent series, the tourists will go into the series with confidence. However, captain Wanindu Hasaranga will be suspended for the first two matches of the 3rd Afghanistan T20I due to his abusive language towards the on-field umpire.
On the other hand, Bangladesh last played a T20I series in New Zealand in December 2023 and drew 1-1. The organizers gave veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan a break from the series.
