Several programmes are planned for the Unboxing event. The biggest highlight will be the felicitation of the RCB team that won the Women’s Premier League on Sunday, defeating Delhi Capitals in the final. The men’s team has yet to win the IPL in 16 seasons.
A parade is expected for the women players, which will be graced by several winning team members including skipper Smriti Mandhana, Renuka Singh, Richa Ghosh, Shreyanka Patil and Sophie Devine.
Faf du Plessis, skipper of the men’s RCB team, will also be in attendance. The Unboxing event is also likely to witness Virat Kohli on the stage. Kohli has been in the UK for the last two months for the birth of his second child and missed the recent Test series against England.
