The Super Falcons held off a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Ethiopia in the first leg of the 2024 Olympic qualifiers, with Rashidat Ajibade’s second-half goal clinching victory, Soccernet said. I am reporting.

The Super Falcons returned to action for the first time since withdrawing from the FIFA Women’s World Cup in July of this year.

They faced Ethiopia in the round of 16 at Abebe Bikila Stadium. The women’s team, led by Randy Waldrum, was the heavy favorite to win due to the difference in quality between the two teams and their success at the World Championship.
