“We need to keep going”- Iheanacho urges Leicester City teammates on after reaching Championship summit

Leicester City have been playing great since the start of the season and are in very good form at the moment

Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has urged his Leicester City teammates to stay focused and keep winning games in the English Championship, reports Soccer Ta.

Leicester City were relegated to the English Championship last season after a disastrous season in the Premier League. They are missing some of their best legs, like Youri Tielemans and James Maddison.

However, the team was impressive under the guidance of coach Enzo Maresca. They won eight of their first nine games in the Championship and climbed to the top of the league after Sunday’s 4-1 win at Blackburn Rovers.

Iheanacho has had a good season for the Foxes so far, appearing in nine games and recording two goals and one assist. He also scored a penalty in the win against Leicester City.

After Sunday’s win, the Super Eagles striker urged his teammates to keep winning games.

“It’s a great view. Everyone is happy. We’re at the top now, but it’s a tough league,” Iheanacho told LCFC.

“We have a lot of games, so we have to keep going. We have a big team, so we have to control ourselves and keep winning, even if it’s not easy. It has to be.

“But we just keep learning every day and winning every game. Hopefully we can see where we are at the end of the season.” p>

Iheanacho hasn’t had much playing time this season, but he hopes that changes soon.
