Watch: Yira Sor nets brace in Genk vs. Gent intense encounter

Ira So played a limited role in Wouter Vranken’s starting XI, but established himself as an important member of the team, scoring twice against Gent.

Nigerian striker Ira Collins Soh scored two goals for KRC Genk in a hard-fought 2-2 draw with KAA Gent, Soccernet.ng reported.

In an exciting clash at the Chegeka Arena on Sunday, the Smurfs were hoping to secure a win against Gent and close the gap on league leaders Royal Union SG.

An exciting match ended with both teams scoring two goals each, with Tariq Tissoudari scoring twice for the home team and Ira Sol contributing a goal for the visitors.

While Wouter Vranken’s starting appearances were limited, Sol got his chance against Genk and made a big impression in his 75 minutes. After scoring the first goal, he scored the decisive equalizing goal, tying the match at 1-1.

Sol is hoping to get more playing time as Genk prepares for their next game against Ostend. His excellent performance in this match provides a solid foundation for him to establish himself as a regular member of the starting lineup.
