Virat Kohli kept looking at a fake watch on his wrists, seemingly indicating to new batter Mohammad Rizwan not to delay proceedings, during the India-Pakistan clash at Ahmedabad in the 2023 World Cup today (October 14).
Rizwan took over at number four after Hardik Pandya dismissed Imam-ul-Haq in the 13th over of the innings and faced an impatient but excited Kohli. Kohli was counting down just before the fake clock continued.
Kohli was not wearing a watch while fielding, but he pretended to see a black bracelet and pretended it was a watch, seemingly hinting to Rizwan that he lacked the speed to go to the first ball.
The former Indian captain continued to watch the imaginary passage of time, then looked at Rizwan with his right hand on his hip and signaled the wicketkeeper to rush to the first ball.

Rizwan ended up playing a dot ball and then attacking three ball throws.
