Watch: Shubman Gill launched fast bowler Cameron Green out of the park for a six as straight as an arrow to bring up his 50 in the second ODI of the Ind vs Aus series on September 24.
With Gill as the main attacker, India developed the habit of scoring quickly in the first 10 overs. Against Australia, he scored his second quick fifty on the trot, replicating his opening half-century in just 37 balls.
The right-hander produced one top score after another against leg-spinner Adam Zampa and fast-bowling all-rounder Green.
In the 11th over, Gil Zampa took a long-on low-on after a full toss and gained 89 yards for six. His batting partner Shreyas Iyer was impressed with his great shot.
To top it off, the 24-year-old gave Green a golden run with the first ball of the 13th over, taking a stunning overbound with a long delivery straight over the bowler’s head. He completed his 10th ODI fifty with this shot.
