Watch: Shaheen Shah Afridi Strikes With His First Ball Back In The Attack, Breaks Big Afghanistan Opening Stand

Watch: Shaheen Shah Afridi broke Afghanistan’s opening partnership with his first ball back into the attack, enticing a top-edge from Rahmanullah Gurbaz to get Pakistan’s first wicket in the 22nd over of the innings.

Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran gave Afghanistan a great start as they chased 283 points. Both scored half-centuries and scored a total of 128 runs in the first 20 overs.

Gulbaz was the aggressor, while Zadran was more cautious. He reached 50 from 38 balls and hit a monster 90-yarder off Iftikhar Ahmed in a few overs after the first six. Babar Azam was desperate to break the partnership and went back to Shaheen’s strike bowler in the 22nd over. Shaheen’s first pitch was not as effective as usual at the beginning of the innings. He failed to break through early on, conceding 20 runs in his 4 overs.
