Watch: Saim Ayub nailed an extraordinary no-look flick for six off Tymal Mills as he continued his excellent run of form in the Pakistan Super League.
The 21-year-old formed a strong partnership with Babar Azam for Peshawar Zalmi and has pitched 42 innings in 26 matches and 88 innings in 55 matches, with two losses till date. Against Islamabad United, Ayub hit 38 off 21, three fours and two sixes.
The highlight came at the start of the fifth over when England’s Timaru Mills bowled. The speedster didn’t need any slack and delivered his first pitch at 141 km/h. The ball was over the stumps and Ayub limped off with a nice shot to his leg side. He maintained his pose with his head down as the ball flew over the rope.
His knock sparked the Babar attack and the former Pakistan captain went on to score a century as Peshawar Zalmi crossed the 200-mark mark. Peshawar Zalmi have won 2 and lost 2 so far, while Islamabad United have 1 win and 2 losses.
