Watch: Rinku Singh hit two consecutive sixes off Aiden Markram in the penultimate over of the second South Africa-India T20I, the second of which smashed the press-box window of St George’s Park in Gqeberha.
Despite losing two wickets early in the second T20I of the three-match series, the Indian batsmen chose not to take any risks. The score was 55:3 when Rinku Singh was sent off, but the power play was not over yet.
India lost Suryakumar Yadav and Jitesh Sharma within nine balls, but Link kept playing and eventually scored his maiden T20I fifty in 30 balls.
South Africa captain Aiden Markram took a part-time break and took 1-13 from his two overs. He chose to bowl 19 of his overs, perhaps to win the match against his two left-handers, especially Ravindra Jadeja, who has not been able to score quickly against spin lately.
The first four balls produced two singles and a pair. Rinku became the fifth player and cleared the midwicket fence by some distance.
Markram changed his trajectory. The next ball was flat, but Rinku hit the ball so hard and so flat that it shattered a window in the media center directly behind the bowler.

It rained three balls into the 20th over and play has not yet resumed. Gerard Coetzee will get a hat-trick if India bats again after picking up back-to-back wickets. They were 180-7
