Watch: Naseem Shah No-Ball Hands Mohammad Rizwan Lifeline In PSL Final

Watch: Mohammad Rizwan received an early slice of luck in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 final, holing out off Naseem Shah only for replays to reveal the bowler had overstepped and bowled a no-ball.

Multan Sultans, the group-stage table-toppers, won the toss and opted to bat first. However, their innings looked to have got off to the worst possible start when Rizwan, their captain and the competition’s second leading run-scorer in 2024, aimed a big shot at Naseem but only succeeded in offering a catch to the fielder running back.

Rizwan began to trudge off, only to be asked to return to his crease after replays revealed Naseem had overstepped and bowled a no-ball.

There was no damage done off the free hit, Rizwan mishitting again.

In the second over, Islamabad United’s Imad Wasim struck twice to leave Multan Sultans reeling at 14-2. But those victims did not include Rizwan, who guided his side to a score of 48 at the end of the six-over powerplay without further loss.
