Watch: Mohammed Shami bowled Litton Das with a stunning wobble-seam delivery that rushed past his defence during the India-Bangladesh Super Fours game of the 2023 Asia Cup on Friday (September 15).
Shami, who was left out of the starting XI in place of Mohammed Siraj for most of the tournament, was given a chance against Bangladesh. He immediately hit the new ball and once again proved his class by ousting Das with a great performance.
On the first ball of the second over, Shami bowled a fuller ball that crashed into his right-hander who had just hit the bat with the ball. This was played according to the original line of the ball and did not take into account the momentum of the second half, so he lost his stumps and had to return to the dugout without bothering the scorers.
India, who have already qualified for the finals of the tournament, made five changes to their squad ahead of the match against Bangladesh.
